A Life of Service

Sunday November 4

Pastor Greg Walton proclaims we are called to be God's servants.

"Here is My servant, Whom I uphold, My chosen one in whom I delight; I will put My Spirit on Him and He will bring justice to the nations." Isaiah 42:1

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:8-10

WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT FROM YOU?

"But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." Luke 14:13-14

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our lives." 1 John 1:8-10

GOD WANTS YOU TO LIVE AS HIS CHOSEN CHILD

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

"Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." 1 Peter 2:10

GOD TAKES CARE OF HIS CHILDREN

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

". . . the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28

"Lord, what do you want me to be when I grow up?"

A SERVANT!
