BEING CHOSEN IN CHRIST CHANGES THINGS

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:8-9

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE CHOSEN?

"eklektos" : being elected or chosen or picked out

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves." Ephesians 1:3-6

THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE’VE BEEN CHOSEN

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God THAT you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:8-9

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. This is My command: Love each other." John 15:16-17

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." 1 Peter 3:8-9
